Position Overview
Mr Price Home is seeking a passionate and results-driven Store Manager for its Ilanga Mall store in Mbombela. This role is responsible for leading store operations, driving sales growth, and ensuring exceptional customer service delivery.
The ideal candidate will be a strong retail leader with experience in store management, team development, and sales performance optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management
- Ensure accurate receiving, unpacking, and merchandising of stock
- Maintain optimal stock levels to reduce shrinkage and stock loss
- Oversee stockroom organisation and housekeeping standards
- Authorise write-offs, returns, and stock adjustments
Sales Growth & Profitability
- Analyse sales and profitability reports to drive store performance
- Implement action plans to improve sales and reduce expenses
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness
- Monitor product performance and provide feedback to head office
Risk & Compliance Management
- Conduct compliance checks to ensure policy adherence
- Maintain operational standards and minimise store risk
Customer Experience
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently met
- Implement promotions, pricing, and merchandising strategies
- Maintain visual standards and store presentation
- Act on customer feedback to improve experience
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and manage store staff effectively
- Drive performance against KPIs and operational goals
- Manage recruitment, training, and succession planning
- Foster a strong performance-driven store culture
Innovation & Operations
- Implement head office initiatives and new store strategies
- Improve in-store processes and customer engagement
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 3–4 years’ retail/store management experience
- 3–4 years’ experience in sales and service management
- Budgeting and financial management experience
- Computer literacy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of retail trade, branding, and customer behaviour
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving ability
- Passion for home décor and design
