Position Overview
Mr Price Home is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Store Manager to lead its Malelane store at Inkwazi Centre. This role is perfect for a passionate retail professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is driven to deliver exceptional sales performance and customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for overseeing store operations, managing a high-performing team, and driving sales growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management
- Ensure accurate receiving, unpacking, and merchandising of stock
- Monitor stock levels to reduce stock loss and ensure availability
- Maintain stockroom organisation and housekeeping standards
- Authorise write-offs, returns, and stock adjustments
Sales Growth & Profitability
- Analyse sales and profitability reports to drive performance
- Implement strategies to increase revenue and store efficiency
- Monitor product performance and provide feedback to head office
- Identify opportunities to grow sales and brand awareness
Risk & Compliance Management
- Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to policies
- Manage store risks including stock loss and operational inefficiencies
Customer Experience
- Ensure excellent in-store customer experience at all times
- Implement promotions, markdowns, and pricing strategies
- Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation standards
- Act on customer feedback to improve service delivery
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and develop store team members
- Drive performance against store KPIs and business goals
- Manage recruitment, training, and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with company HR policies and procedures
Innovation & Operations
- Implement new initiatives from Head Office
- Continuously improve store processes and customer engagement
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 3–4 years’ experience in retail/store management
- 4–5 years’ experience in sales and service management
- Budgeting and financial management experience
- Computer literacy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of retail trade and customer trends
- Passion for home décor and design
