Job Overview

The Maintenance Planner at Snackworks Rosslyn Factory will be responsible for preventative and shutdown maintenance planning, maintenance analysis, and participating in projects.

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Planning & Coordination

• Plan and coordinate preventative and shutdown maintenance activities.
• Schedule and manage daily ad hoc maintenance tasks.
• Update job cards and maintenance schedules based on OEM manuals and historical data.
• Develop cost and time estimates for planned maintenance work.

Analysis & Performance Monitoring

• Analyze machinery and component life cycles to identify failure trends.
• Monitor job completion rates and report maintenance trends.
• Maintain the Shopware Asset Care System and optimize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Interpret maintenance history and prepare feedback reports.

Collaboration & Inventory Control

• Work closely with Engineering Foremen, Production Managers, and the Production Planner.
• Collaborate with engineering stores personnel to manage spares and stock levels.
• Support the project team in delivering engineering-related tasks.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

• 8+ years’ experience in maintenance planning within FMCG or manufacturing.
• High-speed packaging environment experience (Advantageous).

Qualifications:

• Trade Test as a Fitter, Millwright, or Electrician (Preferred).
• National Diploma/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (N6/T3/S4).

Technical Skills & Competencies:

• Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Shopware, Pragma On Key – Advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) & RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance).
• Proficiency in MS Projects & MS Excel.
