Position Overview
The Admin Team Leader (Gateway) role is responsible for overseeing all store administrative functions, ensuring compliance with company standards, accurate reporting, effective stock administration, and efficient daily banking procedures. This role plays a critical part in supporting overall store performance, operational efficiency, and asset protection.
This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented retail administrator with strong numeracy, organisational, and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control daily store administration, including banking, staff scheduling, contracts, stationery, and reporting
- Perform daily cash-ups, balancing cash against sales slips and registers
- Ensure accurate and timeous banking and reconciliations
- Report shortages, overs, refunds, exchanges, and price overrides to Store Management
- Manage receipt and dispatch of stock in line with standard operating procedures
- Scan and submit all stock-related documentation to Head Office daily
- Plan, prepare, and manage weekly and full stock take counts
- Maintain accurate stock reports, including no-sales, top sellers, and negative stock movements
- Administer and update price changes both electronically and manually
- Control and monitor stationery usage and store expenses
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all company information
- Protect company assets and ensure office housekeeping standards are maintained
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum 1 year administration experience within a retail environment
- Own or reliable transport (must be able to work shifts)
- Strong computer literacy
- Excellent numeracy and reporting skills
