Position Overview

Motus Mercedes-Benz Sandton is seeking a Specialist: Service Advisor (Technical) to deliver exceptional customer service within its high-performance service centre.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between customers and the workshop, ensuring accurate service recommendations, efficient coordination with technicians, and transparent communication throughout the vehicle service process.

This role is ideal for a technically qualified professional with strong customer engagement skills and experience in automotive service environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist customers in a professional, customer-focused manner
  • Assess vehicle concerns and recommend appropriate services and repairs
  • Schedule service and repair appointments efficiently
  • Liaise with workshop technicians to prioritise jobs and ensure timely completion
  • Communicate service progress, delays, and outcomes clearly to customers
  • Prepare and explain service estimates, quotations, and invoices
  • Maintain accurate service records and customer documentation
  • Resolve customer queries, concerns, and complaints promptly
  • Promote and upsell additional services, maintenance plans, or products
  • Ensure all service work meets manufacturer and dealership quality standards
  • Contribute to high customer satisfaction scores and dealership performance targets

Minimum Requirements

Essential

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • Technical qualification (Qualified Automotive Technician)
  • Proven experience in an automotive service advisory or workshop environment
  • Strong understanding of vehicle repair and maintenance processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy and experience with service management systems
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment

Advantageous

  • Previous experience within a premium or luxury vehicle dealership
  • Strong sales orientation with upselling experience
