Position Overview: Customer Consultant Job in Pretoria
Dis-Chem is hiring a Customer Consultant for the Jakaranda store in Pretoria. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in customer service, retail administration, and client relations jobs in South Africa.
You will act as the first point of contact for customers, assisting with inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a smooth and professional in-store experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional assistance to customers regarding products and services
- Handle customer complaints, compliments, and general queries efficiently
- Capture and manage customer data accurately
- Monitor and manage promotional items, loyalty programmes, and stock
- Maintain accurate transaction processing and reporting (TRMS)
- Ensure effective internal and external communication
- Respond to customer queries via email and other platforms
- Coordinate and manage in-store promotions and events
- Train staff on customer benefit programmes
- Maintain high standards of customer service and store presentation
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (Minimum 60% in English, Afrikaans, and Maths Literacy)
- At least 1 year experience in administration, customer service, or public relations jobs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Willingness to work retail hours
Advantageous Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification in Administration, Customer Service, or Public Relations
- SAP system experience
- Ability to speak a third language
- Knowledge of POPIA and Consumer Protection Act
