Key Performance Areas & Primary Responsibilities
1. Technician Support & Mechanical Prep Work

Assist motor technicians with vehicle preparation, staging, lifting setup, and disassembly for mechanical inspection or repairs.

Retrieve, clean, pass, and organize specialized mechanics’ tools, hydraulic jacks, power tools, and workshop machinery during service procedures.

Help pull replacement auto parts, filters, lubricants, and hardware components from the parts counter for ongoing workshop jobs.
2. Vehicle Movement & Care

Move, park, and maneuver customer passenger vehicles safely within the workshop bays, staging yards, and wash bays (where driver’s licence is held).

Install protective seat covers, floor mats, and steering wheel wrap prior to technical work to preserve customer vehicle cleanliness.

Conduct basic post-repair visual inspections to ensure vehicles are spotless and ready for customer handover.
3. Workshop Housekeeping & Tool Inventory
