Job Purpose
This role is based in the Discovery Connect Sales call center and reports directly to the Sales Team Leader. The Sales Consultant will be responsible for telesales, focusing on the promotion and sale of the Discovery Bank Product Suite to clients through inbound and outbound calls. The goal is to manage and convert leads into successful sales, responding to product inquiries and guiding clients toward banking solutions that meet their needs.
Key Purpose
The primary objective of this position is to contribute to the growth of Discovery Bank by achieving sales targets, promoting the brand, and engaging clients with our range of products and benefits. The successful candidate will be integral in helping clients achieve healthier banking by offering tailored solutions and ensuring a shared-value experience.
Key Outputs
The successful individual will be required to perform, but not limited to, the following key outputs:
- Achieve Monthly Targets: Consistently meet sales and activation targets set by the business.
- Client Data Accuracy: Capture all client application information accurately in the system.
- Product Knowledge: Ensure the right products are sold based on client profiles.
- Productivity Requirements: Meet the business’s productivity expectations.
- Quality & Compliance: Adhere to all quality and compliance guidelines.
- Ongoing Assessments: Successfully complete all ongoing assessments as required by the business.

Qualification & Experience
Essential:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- 1-2 years’ sales experience, preferably in an outbound telesales environment.
Advantageous:
- Knowledge of Discovery Bank products and services.
- Tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g., Financial Planning or Information).
- NQF 5/National Certificate: Banking at NQF Level 5.
- RE5 qualification (Required for financial services).
