About Us
We are currently seeking a Cleaning Manager within the healthcare industry based in Cape Town. The role involves overseeing daily operations at one site, maintaining high-quality standards in line with site-specific service level agreements (SLAs), managing client relations, and performing cleaning and equipment inspections.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for site management and ensure high service standards.
- Respond proactively to client requests, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Efficiently allocate resources to achieve maximum cleaning output, adhering to SLA requirements.
- Manage resource requirements for output-based contracts.
- Maintain a pool of trained relief staff to prevent service disruptions.
- Ensure proper job schedules and work cards are in place for each position.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain consistently high service standards.
- Maintain service until the last day of unit closures, including attending to staff, equipment, billing, and costs.
- Foster strong client relationships to prevent contract cancellations and ensure retention.
- Ensure staff adhere to professional company image and dress code.
- Enforce strict cleaning methodologies in line with company policies, quality programs, and legislation.
- Conduct monthly spot checks on high-value items and maintain company assets in good condition.
- Use and update company electronic tools and applications effectively.
- Schedule and conduct training for all staff to empower them in their roles.
- Maintain unit files and notice boards according to company policy.
- Communicate regularly with clients, ensuring that client-specific records and reports are completed on time.
- Effectively manage staff communication, ensuring relevant company information is shared.
- Handle HR and industrial relations issues, ensuring adherence to company codes and policies.
- Manage leave liability and leave plans in line with company policies.
- Identify opportunities for additional business within existing contracts and handle one-off cleaning opportunities.
- Ensure that all rechargeable and overtime work is authorized and billed in a timely manner.
- Approve capital expenditure and equipment repairs.
- Order chemicals and consumables within a set budget.
- Maintain high morale and motivation among staff.
- Implement initiatives as required by Tsebo Management or clients.
- Adhere to legal and statutory requirements.

Qualifications
- Relevant operations and people management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar middle management role.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is highly advantageous.
- Experience in managing large teams and overseeing cleaning operations.
- Knowledge of cleaning principles, scheduling staffing, and assigning tasks to achieve output standards.
- Strong people management and industrial relations knowledge.
