Job Summary:
Clinix Health Group is seeking a qualified Electrician for a 3-month contract at Botshelong-Empilweni Private Hospital in Vosloorus. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, and ensuring all hospital machinery and equipment operate efficiently while complying with health and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
✔ Electrical / Mechanical Diploma / N6
✔ National Trade Certificate
✔ 5+ years of relevant work experience
✔ Hospital experience is non-negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilities & Machinery Maintenance
- Conduct daily checks on hospital machinery and equipment to ensure functionality.
- Perform preventative maintenance, recommend adjustments, and implement improvements.
- Complete job card instructions for all maintenance and repair tasks.
- Install new electrical components and upgrade existing machinery.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Identify equipment faults and deviations, report them, and take corrective action.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring technical/mechanical failures.
- Ensure equipment maintenance meets OHS Act and machinery regulations.
- Assist in drafting the facility plan and oversee repairs, maintenance, and installations.
- Manage reticulation systems and repair industrial appliances.
2. Contractor & Outsourced Service Supervision
- Monitor and inspect work completed by outsourced service providers.
- Ensure CHG standards are followed for all external work.
- Conduct risk assessments before work begins.
- Issue work permits to contractors working on-site.
3. Operations & Maintenance Management
- Implement, monitor, and control technical processes according to quality standards, policies, and compliance regulations.
