Lead Kitchen Operations with Empact Group!
Are you an experienced kitchen supervisor with strong leadership and culinary expertise? Do you have experience in hospital catering and kitchen management? Empact Group is looking for a Kitchen Supervisor to oversee food production, maintain menu consistency, and manage stock control while ensuring top-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Kitchen Operations – Oversee daily kitchen activities for efficient food production
✔ Menu Consistency – Ensure that all menu items meet quality standards
✔ Stock Control – Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage stock efficiently
✔ Portion & Cost Control – Implement food storage, portioning, and preparation methods to reduce waste
✔ Food Safety & Hygiene – Maintain temperature records and comply with food safety regulations
✔ Team Leadership – Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff to improve efficiency
Minimum Requirements
✔ Matric Certificate (or equivalent) – Essential
✔ Tertiary qualification in Food & Beverage Services or Culinary Arts – Compulsory
✔ 2+ years of experience in Kitchen Supervision/Management – Compulsory
✔ Computer literacy – Essential
✔ Experience in stock control, ordering, and receiving – Required
✔ Hospital Catering experience & knowledge of special diets – Advantageous
✔ Strong knowledge of South African food industry regulations
