Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Team Member, your daily responsibilities will include:
Customer Interaction & Sales Support

Warmly greet customers as they enter the store.

Assist customers with placing orders, providing recommendations, and answering queries.

Inform customers about ongoing promotions, special deals, and new products.

Address and resolve customer concerns or escalate them to management when necessary.
Cash Register & Payment Processing

Operate the cash register and ensure accurate transactions.

Process different payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.

Issue receipts and ensure proper handling of refunds and exchanges in compliance with company policies.

Monitor cash levels and perform end-of-shift cash-up procedures.
Order Preparation & Delivery

Receive and process orders promptly and accurately.

Pack and present customer orders professionally.

Assist in delivering food orders to customers at counters, tables, or designated pick-up points.
Stock & Inventory Management

Receive, verify, and unpack stock deliveries.
-
Ensure proper stock rotation and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages.

Restock front-of-house supplies, including napkins, condiments, and packaging materials.
Store Cleanliness & Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness in the service area, including counters, floors, and checkout stations.

Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.

Assist with waste disposal and general store maintenance tasks.
Team Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.

Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding stock levels, customer orders, and store policies.

Support team training and help onboard new employees when required.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

Matric certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent).

Previous experience in one or more of the following roles:
-
Cashier
-
Customer Service Representative
-
Front-of-House Assistant
-
Retail or Food Service Team Member
-

Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
-
Must live within 10km of Queenswood, Gauteng.
-
Clear criminal record.
-
Ability to work 6 shifts per week, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
While not mandatory, the following will be an advantage:

Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
-
Strong multitasking abilities, especially during peak hours.
-
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
