About the Opportunity

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) invites applications for the role of Learning & Development Intern, a unique and valuable internship opportunity based at the company’s office in Midrand, Gauteng. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about talent development, training strategy, and organisational learning. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team under the Learning & Development (L&D) department and report directly to the L&D Specialist.

This internship will provide the selected individual with the opportunity to develop both technical HR skills and interpersonal competencies within a professional, structured, and diverse workplace.


Purpose of the Internship

The Learning & Development Internship aims to provide structured support in line with the strategic goals of CCBSA and its People & Culture division. The intern will play a key role in delivering, supporting, and evaluating learning solutions while building a solid foundation in stakeholder engagement, governance, and learning frameworks.

Through hands-on experience and mentorship, the intern will gain insight into real-world L&D processes and contribute meaningfully to organisational growth through competency development initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

1. Learning & Development Infrastructure Support

  • Assist with the rollout and management of CCBSA’s learning and development practices, frameworks, and tools.

  • Help drive standardisation and efficiency across the L&D function.

  • Provide support for cross-functional L&D business projects across departments and regions.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of learning interventions.

2. Competency Development

  • Contribute to the implementation of in-country learning solutions in coordination with other functional learning teams.

  • Support the execution of the Competency Assessment Process (CAP).

  • Evaluate the return on investment (ROI) of training programs.

  • Assist with the design and development of customised training material.

  • Ensure learning and development activities are aligned with the company’s capability development objectives.

3. Governance and Compliance

  • Track and monitor L&D programs to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and audit requirements in all L&D processes.

  • Generate and compile reports for internal clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance.

  • Ensure that learning records are well-maintained and easily accessible.

  • Help promote a service-oriented culture in line with the department’s values.


Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • A relevant Human Resources Degree or Diploma is required.

  • A completed Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practitioner (ODETDP) qualification will be an advantage.

Experience

  • A minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in Learning & Development, including:

    • Training content creation and facilitation.

    • Involvement in large-scale project rollouts across a national footprint.

  • Experience in eLearning design and development will be advantageous.

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly LMS365, is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at an intermediate to advanced level.

  • Knowledge of eLearning tools and content authoring platforms will be advantageous.
