Key Responsibilities of the Cleaning Supervisor Role
Operations and Service Excellence

Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific work schedules and ensure each position has a clearly defined scope of work.

Conduct regular inspections to maintain consistently high cleaning standards across the facility.

Ensure staff are always well-groomed and professionally dressed, displaying their name badges as per company protocol.

Supervise adherence to approved cleaning methodologies and quality programs in line with internal policies and applicable legislation.

Perform monthly asset audits, including checks on high-value equipment to ensure optimal use and prevent loss or damage.

Submit daily reports on maintenance or safety issues to management, ensuring corrective actions are taken swiftly.

Champion workplace hygiene and professionalism through leading by example.
Team Leadership and Communication

Provide clear, effective communication to team members, ensuring alignment with performance expectations and service delivery standards.

Respond promptly to management requests, ensuring all operational feedback and actions are documented and resolved.

Cultivate a motivated and high-morale team environment, fostering respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Compliance with Health and Safety

Ensure strict adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) protocols, especially those specific to hospital or healthcare facilities.

Support safety audits and routine risk assessments in compliance with Tsebo’s safety and quality policies.

Report any hazards, near misses, or incidents promptly to ensure risk mitigation and legal compliance.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12) or relevant equivalent qualification.

A minimum of 2 years of cleaning supervisory experience, preferably in the healthcare or hospitality sector.

Demonstrated experience and understanding of health and safety regulations in a professional cleaning environment.
Skills and Attributes

Sound understanding of cleaning principles, tools, and processes.
