As a Warehouse Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that the warehouse functions optimally to support both sales performance and stock availability.


Job Overview

The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Manager is to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the retail warehouse environment. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, supervising warehouse personnel, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring strict adherence to administrative and compliance requirements.


Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate – Essential

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a warehouse or store environment

  • 1 year of supervisory experience will be considered an advantage

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of AFGRI Retail’s product range

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other job-related programs

  • Point-of-Sale (POS) system familiarity

  • SAP experience is advantageous

  • Valid Driver’s License (Code 08)


Key Performance Areas

1. Personnel Management

  • Supervise and guide warehouse personnel to meet performance standards

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations

2. Budget and Financial Oversight

  • Manage warehouse-related budgets

  • Monitor and control expenditures in line with approved cost allocations

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality

3. Sales Support

  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive product movement

  • Ensure timely stock availability and support customer service efforts

  • Analyse sales data to support stock planning and product recommendations

4. Stock Control and Inventory Management

  • Monitor incoming and outgoing stock

  • Perform regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and reduce shrinkage

  • Implement and maintain proper warehousing procedures and stock rotation

5. General Administration

  • Maintain accurate records and complete all administrative tasks

  • Compile reports related to inventory, performance, and sales support

  • Ensure documentation and compliance with internal auditing standards
