Position Overview
Fidelity Services Group’s ADT Division is recruiting an experienced Alarm & CCTV Service Technician for its Cape Town branch. This permanent role is perfect for a skilled technician with advanced knowledge of alarm systems, CCTV, intercoms, and access control. You will perform maintenance, programming, and small installations for domestic, commercial, and industrial clients while ensuring compliance with ADT technical standards.

Main Purpose of the Job
Provide professional servicing, maintenance, and minor installations of alarm and CCTV systems. Ensure all systems are programmed, repaired, and upgraded to Fidelity ADT’s high-quality standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Technical
-
Conduct service calls, maintenance, and repairs of alarm systems.

Program alarm panels and re-program systems for takeover clients.

Complete handovers, provide quotations, and perform small installations as required.

Install links for new clients and ensure all work aligns with ADT technical specifications.
Administrative
-
Complete daily drive sheets, job reports, and technical invoices accurately and on time.

Prepare and submit client quotations for system upgrades.

Perform weekly vehicle, electrical, and ladder inspections and report findings to the Field Line Manager (FLM).

Conduct regular stock control checks and report shortages immediately.

Keep the company vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Education: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 5 years as an alarm technician, including wiring, installations, programming, and fault finding.

Certification: PSIRA Grade E registration (mandatory).

Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise with DSC, FBI, CADDX, IDS, Paradox, and Texecom alarm systems.

Proficiency in CCTV, intercom systems, and access control technology.

Valid driver’s license and ability to work standby shifts as per the duty roster.
Performance Standards

Attend or reschedule all scheduled service calls promptly.

Ensure alarm panels are programmed to ADT standards and all documentation is completed accurately.

Maintain a clean, well-stocked service vehicle and comply with weekly inspection requirements.

Deliver high-quality workmanship for all installations, ensuring full client satisfaction.
