Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair has a vacancy for a Receptionist at our Head Office. The successful applicant will report to the Manager: HR & Coporate Services.
Job Description
  • Welcome and assist all visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Operate the switchboard by efficiently receiving, screening, and directing incoming calls to the appropriate departments;
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception area that reflects the company’s image and service standards;
  • Coordinate outgoing deliveries and courier collections to ensure efficient communication flow;
  • Create and issue access permits in accordance with FlySafair and ACSA security procedures;
  • Facilitate the end-to-end ACSA permit application and renewal process for employees and contractors;
  • Facilitate the issuing of crew cards to new and existing employees;
  • Monitor upcoming permit expiries and perform timely reprints and distribution to all bases;
  • Liaise with ACSA offices and internal departments to coordinate documentation, appointments, and approvals;
  • Provide front-desk assistance and respond to queries related to access permits;
  • Maintain and update the employee access permit database, ensuring all personnel details, photographs, access levels, and expiry dates are accurately recorded and kept current;
  • Monitor and update the company vehicle logbook, ensuring accuracy and compliance with usage policies;
  • Monitor the scheduling and administration of company car wash services;
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR & Corporate Services team as required.
Job Requirements
  • Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential).
  • Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration or related field (Advantageous).
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a reception, front-office, Helpdesk or administrative support role (Essential).
  • Experience within an Aviation, Corporate, or Customer-Service environment (Advantageous).
  • Exposure to switchboard operations, visitor management systems, or access control processes (Advantageous).
