Position Overview

The Electronic Workshop Manager (TC 22) is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing Production, Repairs, and Quality Assurance operations within the electronic workshop.

This role requires a technically skilled professional with proven electronics engineering experience and strong people-management capabilities, ensuring efficient workflow, compliance, and consistent delivery of high-quality electronic products and services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily workshop operations across Production, Repairs, and Quality Assurance
  • Lead, coordinate, and mentor technicians and production staff
  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to junior team members
  • Ensure all repair and production activities meet quality standards and turnaround targets
  • Monitor workflow, allocate tasks, and manage project deadlines
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and oversee procurement of electronic components
  • Implement and maintain SOPs, workshop systems, and technical documentation
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections and continuous process improvements
  • Identify and escalate technical or operational risks to senior management
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless operational coordination
  • Compile and submit performance and resource reports to management
  • Ensure full legal, safety, and regulatory compliance

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering (NDip, BTech, or equivalent)
  • 2–5 years’ experience in electronics with supervisory or leadership exposure
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic systems, components, diagnostics, and repair processes
  • Proven ability to manage workshop operations in a production or industrial environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and workshop management systems
  • Experience in mentoring and team development
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced technical environment
