Position Overview

The Sales Executive – Soweto role focuses on expanding the Kazang merchant network by identifying new business opportunities and converting leads into active merchants.

This position requires a motivated sales professional who enjoys working directly with small business owners, informal traders, and township entrepreneurs. The successful candidate will install payment devices, build merchant relationships, and grow a portfolio of customers using Kazang’s fintech solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Merchant Acquisition & Sales Growth

  • Prospect and convert new merchants within the Soweto territory
  • Sell Kazang fintech terminals and digital value-added services (VAS)
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Identify new areas and opportunities to expand the merchant network

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with informal vendors and small business owners
  • Understand merchant needs and recommend the most suitable payment solutions
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

Product Installation & Technical Support

  • Install Kazang devices and ensure proper functionality
  • Provide basic troubleshooting support when required
  • Ensure merchants understand how to use the system effectively

Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports
  • Keep CRM records updated with sales opportunities and merchant information
  • Ensure contracts are processed accurately and efficiently

Market Development

  • Promote visibility and awareness of Kazang products in local markets
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across value-added services
  • Provide feedback to management on market opportunities and challenges

Minimum Requirements

Candidates applying for this position should meet the following criteria:

  • Proven sales experience with a strong record of achieving targets
  • Experience in technical, fintech, or product-based sales is advantageous
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot devices
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with small businesses or informal traders is beneficial
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales is advantageous but not mandatory.
