Position Overview
We are seeking responsible and attentive individuals to join us as Part-Time Invigilators. The role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and security of assessments, ensuring that all students are assessed fairly and in compliance with institutional policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor students during assessments to prevent malpractice or irregularities
- Distribute and collect exam papers and answer booklets
- Ensure assessment conditions meet policy requirements
- Prepare assessment venues according to institutional standards
- Provide support during emergencies (e.g., sick students, fire evacuation)
- Address any student queries during assessments
- Provide detailed reports at the end of each assessment session
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- Matric certificate required
- Higher certificate or diploma advantageous
Experience:
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience
- No criminal record
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of South African higher education systems and regulatory framework
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to cope with change and work under pressure
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
