Position Overview

The Teacher: Grade 000 is responsible for creating an engaging learning experience for pre-primary learners, fostering personal, physical, and psycho-social development, and preparing children for formal schooling. You will provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and foundational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver future-focused early childhood education that motivates and challenges students
  • Plan, implement, and assess age-appropriate learning programs
  • Support student academic, social, and emotional development
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and guardians
  • Ensure student health and safety and comply with school policies
  • Serve as a school brand ambassador, promoting the values and ethos of ADvTECH
  • Contribute to administrative tasks and reporting requirements

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Post-matric certificate in Early Childhood Development (NQF Level 5) or
  • Undergraduate degree in ECD or B.Ed (Foundation Phase)
  • PGCE required if degree is relevant via Psychology
  • SACE registration and valid police clearance

Experience:

  • 2–5 years teaching experience in pre-primary education
  • Computer and digital literacy
  • First Aid certification
