Position Overview

The Business Development Consultant – Bloemfontein will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing clients.

This role focuses on sales strategy, market research, client relationship management, and closing new business deals to support the company’s growth objectives in the Free State region.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to ensure that service delivery meets client expectations while achieving revenue and market share targets.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Sales

  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the assigned territory or industry sector
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organizations
  • Promote the full range of facilities management and outsourced services offered by the company
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales and revenue targets

Market Research and Strategy

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify potential growth opportunities
  • Develop sales strategies to increase market share and brand presence in the region
  • Prepare tailored solutions that address the specific operational needs of clients

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to support customer retention and satisfaction
  • Provide ongoing communication and support to clients to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Work with internal teams to ensure that projects and service contracts are implemented successfully

Reporting and Performance Monitoring

  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance and pipeline activity
  • Track progress against sales targets and strategic objectives
  • Deliver insights to management on market trends, client needs, and business opportunities

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales or business development
  • Experience in facilities management or outsourced services industry is advantageous
  • Previous experience with tender processes and bid management is beneficial
