Position Overview
The Training Officer is responsible for developing, transferring, and assessing technical skills across operational teams, ensuring high-quality workmanship and sustainable skill growth. This role aligns training programs with organizational goals and operational standards across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
- Manage operational training and development of personnel
- Assess employee training needs and align with organizational goals
- Develop, implement, and update training programs relevant to operations
- Facilitate training methods and skills to instructors and supervisors
- Evaluate effectiveness of training programs and instructors
- Facilitate Regional and National Transformation forums
- Administer specialized training needs related to healthcare operations
Budget & Operational Management
- Create and manage training budgets
- Manage direct expenses, overheads, and factors affecting operational performance
- Manage submission of WSP ATR reports
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure adherence to OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management, and Risk Management Systems
- Maintain records of training programs, certifications, and performance evaluations
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Formal qualification in HR Management
- Facilitator/Assessor Certificate
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- Valid South African Driver’s License
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the cleaning/hygiene industry
- Knowledge of HR procedures and operational workforce management
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
