Position Overview

The Clerk (Finance) will provide comprehensive finance and administrative support to the Shared Services department. The role focuses on stock control, invoicing, account reconciliation, payment processing, and client query resolution. The Clerk ensures accurate financial records, efficient operational processes, and supports the finance team in meeting organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative duties to support daily departmental functions
  • Manage and maintain stock control records, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Conduct daily invoicing of clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal procedures
  • Capture and maintain payment data accurately on relevant financial systems
  • Issue orders in accordance with approved processes and operational requirements
  • Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accurate financial reporting and record-keeping
  • Assist with budget-related requirements, providing supporting documentation
  • Resolve client queries professionally and promptly, maintaining high standards of service

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 with Accounting and Mathematics as subjects
  • BCom or relevant finance qualification (completed or in progress) advantageous
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a finance-related position
  • Computer literate with advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organising, planning, and deadline management abilities
