Position Overview

The Financial Manager – Retail & Constantia will oversee all financial operations within the Retail and Constantia divisions. This role ensures effective financial planning, reporting, budgeting, compliance, working capital management, pricing strategies, and cost optimisation. The Financial Manager plays a strategic role in supporting organisational performance, guiding senior leadership, and driving financial excellence across divisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and reporting across Retail and Constantia divisions
  • Manage annual budgets, monitor performance, and provide variance insights
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring compliance
  • Oversee cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and cash-conversion improvements
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels
  • Maintain internal controls, coordinate audits, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Develop pricing strategies and maintain pricing controls, supporting competitive analysis
  • Monitor production costs, identify variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Oversee capital expenditure projects and track return on investment
  • Streamline financial processes, implement best practices, and improve efficiency
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering performance and capability growth
  • Present financial insights to senior leadership and prepare board presentations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial objectives

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional certification (CA(SA), CPA, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a finance management role
  • Extensive knowledge of financial management principles, compliance standards, and risk management
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, AS400, Excel, and Power BI
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans is advantageous
