Position Overview

The Electronic Technical Officer (TC 19) role is a permanent technical position based in Kempton Park. The employer is recruiting four Electronic Technical Officers, with:

  • Two roles focused on Quality Assurance, and
  • Two roles focused on Electronics Repairs

These roles require strong electronics knowledge, excellent troubleshooting ability, and the capacity to work accurately under pressure in a workshop and production environment.


Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Conducting product quality assurance testing and inspections
  • Performing PCB repairs and fault-finding using schematic diagrams
  • Diagnosing electronic faults and implementing corrective actions
  • Managing internal and external audits
  • Maintaining and controlling technical and quality documentation
  • Planning, scheduling, and prioritising daily technical tasks
  • Managing store and component control
  • Providing ad-hoc support to Research & Development (R&D) teams
  • Ensuring compliance with company quality standards and procedures
  • Assisting with training and mentoring where required

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • B.Tech in Engineering, Diploma, or higher qualification
    • (Relevant experience may be considered if no formal qualification is held)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in:
    • Electronics workshop environments
    • Quality Assurance (QA) and/or electronics repair
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Leadership potential and ability to provide training when required
  • Proficiency in using oscilloscopes and electronic testing equipment
