Position Overview

ADvTECH’s Evolve Online School is seeking a qualified Intermediate Phase / Senior Phase Teacher to join its remote teaching team.

This role is ideal for an educator passionate about online learning, student development, and modern education delivery, with the ability to inspire learners in a digital environment while maintaining high academic standards.


Key Responsibilities

Academic Delivery

  • Deliver future-focused online education aligned with curriculum standards
  • Guide students in developing foundational and independent learning skills
  • Motivate and challenge learners to achieve academic excellence

Assessment & Reporting

  • Conduct continuous academic assessments
  • Provide accurate and timely student progress reports
  • Monitor learner performance and intervene where necessary

Student Support & Behaviour Management

  • Manage student behaviour in an online learning environment
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and engaging virtual classroom
  • Support learners academically and emotionally

Communication & Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across all platforms
  • Collaborate with staff to enhance learning outcomes

Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate academic records
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures
  • Participate in school administration processes

Health, Safety & School Representation

  • Uphold safeguarding and learner wellbeing standards
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the school
  • Support school initiatives and digital learning culture

Minimum Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree (NQF Level 6)
  • PGCE or B.Ed (Intermediate / Intersen / Senior Phase)
  • Registered with SACE (South African Council for Educators)
  • Police clearance certificate
  • 2–5 years teaching experience
  • Computer and digital literacy
  • First Aid certification
