An exciting opportunity has become available for a Logistics Operator Raw Material (Fixed Term) in the Logistics Department at Samancor Ferrometals situated in Witbank, Mpumalanga.

Job Description

Purpose of the job:

To safely weigh, offload and sample raw materials

BUSINESS PROCESSES:

Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality 
• Comply with SHEQ Ensure requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
• To ensure adherence to health, safety, environment and risk policies and procedures

Customers:
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Liaise with transport contractors, raw material suppliers and customers

Quality: 
• Monitor raw material quality
• Liaise with raw material suppliers to ensure safe offloading
• Inspections of barricade and stockpile daily
• Maintain housekeeping standards around stockpiles and barricades

Ordering: 
• Monitor raw material bunker % all the time
• Compile and place raw material orders and schedule deliveries

Receiving: 
• Monitor and control offloading and storing of raw materials in the allocated storage areas
• Ensure all raw material signs are in place
• Check receipts vs. orders and capture raw material receipts

Consumption: 
• Monitor raw material usage

Stocks: 
• Manage stock levels by reporting stockpile and barricade levels
• Manage and report contaminations

GSAP and MES Systems:
• Maintain Raw Material Systems data by taking samples, deliveries to laboratory and
daily logging on MES
• Completion of all required documentation

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/N3
• 1 years’ relevant experience
