We are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor for our Brackenfell site in the healthcare sector. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high service standards, and leading staff to meet hospital-specific SLAs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations and Service Delivery:
- Ensure staff schedules/job cards are created and relevant to the site.
- Maintain high service standards through regular inspections and staff monitoring.
- Ensure that staff are dressed appropriately, with name badges, and uphold the company image.
- Ensure adherence to cleaning methodologies in line with company policies and legislation.
- Manage company assets by conducting monthly spot checks and ensuring equipment is in good condition, repaired, and serviced when necessary.
- Perform daily checks and follow-ups on operational concerns.
- Report any maintenance and safety concerns to management promptly.
Communication:
- Respond to management requests promptly and take the necessary actions.
- Regularly keep line management informed about any pertinent issues at the unit.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act requirements for the site in line with company policies and quality programs.
General:
- Maintain high morale and motivation through effective communication with the team.
- Be flexible and assist with any duties outside of the scope of responsibility, as required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of cleaning principles and company policies/procedures.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Qualifications:
- Matric/Grade 12 or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in the cleaning industry, particularly in healthcare or hospitality.
- Experience in health and safety standards and management is essential.
