Job Overview

Brights Hardware is hiring 12 General Assistants for various departments at their Blackheath Distribution Centre. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring accurate stock handling. Key Responsibilities

✔ Stock Handling & Loading – Load customer vehicles, delivery trucks, and transfer trucks quickly and accurately.
✔ Stock Management – Stack, count, and organize stock properly.
✔ Customer Service – Assist customers by providing friendly and professional service.
✔ Order Preparation – Pull stock for transfers and deliveries as needed.
✔ Stock Reporting – Report shortages and breakages to supervisors.
✔ Housekeeping – Maintain a clean and tidy work area (sweeping, organizing, and waste disposal).
✔ Bagging of Stone & Sand – Assist with packaging materials as required.
✔ Inventory Control – Participate in regular stocktakes to ensure accurate inventory.
✔ General Duties – Perform any work-related tasks assigned by management.

Job Requirements

✅ Education & Experience:
✔ Matric (or equivalent) required.
✔ Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (warehouse, retail, or general labor).

✅ Skills & Competencies:
✔ Customer Service – Friendly and helpful attitude towards customers.
✔ Stock Control – Ability to count stock accurately and report discrepancies.
✔ Teamwork & Independence – Work well individually and as part of a team.
