Job Description

Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a General Assistant to provide technical support for both reactive and planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment, ensuring service level requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical/Plumbing Services Maintenance & Repairs

• Planned Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks as allocated by the Senior Technician.
• Reactive Maintenance: Address and repair any faults as assigned by the Senior Technician.
• Best Practices: Apply the best operating practices during maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Material Supply: Provide a list of necessary materials to the Senior Technician for efficient task completion.
• Reporting: Complete and submit check sheets to the Senior Technician on a weekly basis.
• Workshop Organization: Assist in maintaining a clean and presentable workshop environment.

Skills and Competencies

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry fixtures, fittings, repairs, and maintenance.
• Tool Proficiency: Knowledge of tools and materials used in the maintenance process.
• Work Planning: Ability to organize and manage work effectively.
• Communication: Strong oral communication and customer relationship skills.
• Emotional Resilience: Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
• Conflict Resolution: Skills in managing and resolving conflicts.

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• N2 qualification
• Driver’s License: An advantage
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a relevant maintenance role.
