Key Responsibilities
As the Cleaning Manager, your role will include overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring that all cleaning services meet Tsebo’s high standards.
Operational Management

Take full ownership of site management
-
Respond to client requests urgently and proactively
-
Allocate resources according to SLA requirements
-
Monitor outputs on output-based contracts
-
Maintain high-quality service delivery until contract closure
Client and Team Communication
-
Conduct regular inspections and meetings with clients
-
Respond to client queries and escalate where necessary
-
Provide feedback and ensure effective team communication
Staff and Labour Management
-
Work with HR to assign staff efficiently to each site
-
Complete and submit time sheets promptly
-
Handle disciplinary procedures and CCMA participation

Conduct performance appraisals and on-site training
-
Ensure all staff follow Tsebo’s House Rules
Health & Safety Compliance

Ensure adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act

Monitor compliance with site-specific health and safety standards
-
Maintain documentation in line with legal and company policy
Financial Oversight

Control and manage budgets for chemicals, consumables, and equipment
-
Ensure billing and debt collection is accurate and timely
-
Identify opportunities for additional business or once-off cleaning
-
Approve and track capital expenses and repairs
General Administration
-
Maintain unit files, notice boards, and proper record-keeping
-
Attend meetings and training as required

Support client initiatives and Tsebo management objectives
What You Need to Succeed
Qualifications and Experience
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a cleaning management or similar environment
-
Middle management background preferred
-
Strong commercial cleaning industry experience is advantageous
-
Knowledge of staff scheduling and cleaning methodologies
-
Understanding of industrial relations and Tsebo policies
