About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team in Waterkloof Ridge, Gauteng. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring that every customer enjoys a seamless shopping experience by processing transactions accurately, maintaining a clean workspace, and delivering excellent service.
This is a frontline role where attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and a positive attitude are essential. You will play a vital part in representing the brand and ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cashier, your core duties will include:

Transaction Processing
-
Operate an electronic point of sale (POS) system with an attached scale.

Ring up customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
-
Handle multiple payment methods (cash, debit cards, credit cards, vouchers, etc.).

Ensure that the correct change is given and all transactions balance at the end of each shift.

Customer Service

Greet every customer with a friendly and professional attitude.

Handle customer queries, complaints, and concerns in a courteous and solution-oriented manner.

Promote a positive shopping experience through excellent service.

Workplace Hygiene & Organization

Keep the till area clean, neat, and hygienic at all times.

Ensure receipt paper, till rolls, and other supplies are always stocked.

Follow company hygiene and safety standards.

Operational Support
-
Stay up to date with product codes, prices, promotions, and advertisements.

Maintain awareness of stock availability and promotional offers.

Work efficiently during peak trading hours and busy periods.

Assist in maintaining smooth store operations when needed.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

Education: Matric / Grade 12.

Experience: Previous experience working as a Cashier (essential).

Reside within a 25km radius of Waterkloof Ridge.

Clear criminal record.
Preferences
While not mandatory, the following will be advantageous:

South African citizens.

Male candidates.
-
Candidates between 18 and 40 years old.
