Fidelity Services Group, through Fidelity ADT (FADT – Gauteng), is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Executive – Detection and Suppression to join its operations in Midrand, Gauteng, on a permanent basis. This mid-senior level sales role is suited to a results-oriented professional with strong knowledge of fire detection and fire suppression systems, and a proven ability to grow business within regulated safety environments.
The role plays a critical part in expanding Fidelity ADT’s detection and suppression portfolio by identifying new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring that solutions meet compliance, safety, and operational requirements.
About the Role
The Sales Executive – Detection and Suppression is responsible for driving revenue growth through the promotion and sale of fire detection and suppression solutions. The role requires a strong blend of sales capability, technical understanding, client engagement, and compliance awareness, ensuring that customers receive fit-for-purpose, standards-compliant fire safety solutions.
This position involves regular client interaction, site assessments, solution design input, proposal preparation, and close collaboration with technical and operational teams to ensure smooth project handover and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
The successful candidate will identify and develop new business opportunities within the fire detection and suppression market. This includes promoting a range of solutions such as smoke, heat, and gas detection systems, as well as suppression systems including gaseous, foam, water mist, and wet chemical solutions.
Responsibilities include preparing and presenting quotations, proposals, and tenders, achieving and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets, and conducting site visits to assess client requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
Client Relationship Management
A core component of the role is building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients. The Sales Executive will act as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process, providing professional advice on system selection, compliance requirements, and best practices.
Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and providing effective after-sales support are essential to client retention and long-term business growth.
Technical and Compliance Support
The role requires close collaboration with technical, engineering, and operations teams to ensure accurate system design, costing, and solution alignment. The Sales Executive must ensure that all proposed solutions comply with relevant fire safety standards and regulations, including applicable SANS and NFPA requirements.
Effective coordination ensures a seamless transition from sales to implementation and supports successful project delivery.
Administration and Sales Reporting
The Sales Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate sales records, pipelines, and forecasts. This includes updating CRM systems with all client interactions and opportunities, submitting regular sales reports to management, and ensuring that all sales documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Strong administrative discipline supports sales performance tracking and informed decision-making.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) – essential

Relevant sales qualification or fire industry training – advantageous

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in fire detection and/or suppression sales

Strong understanding of fire safety systems and industry standards

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
