About the Role
The Audit Manager is responsible for managing the full audit process from planning through to completion. This includes conducting financial audits, leading and supporting audit staff, identifying financial and operational risks, and ensuring accurate reporting in line with legal and professional standards.
The role requires a hands-on leader who can balance technical audit work with people management and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Execution and Financial Analysis
The successful candidate will conduct and oversee financial audits and evaluations for clients, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.
Audit Team Leadership
The role involves managing and guiding the audit team, allocating work, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all audit engagements are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
Risk Identification and Recommendations
The Audit Manager will identify financial and operational risks and provide practical recommendations to improve controls, governance, and financial processes.
Documentation and Reporting
Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and maintaining audit documentation and reports in line with legal requirements, professional standards, and company policies.
Client and Stakeholder Communication
The role requires clear and professional communication with clients and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency, trust, and strong working relationships.
Financial Risk and Control Evaluation
The Audit Manager will assist with evaluating financial risk management processes and internal control systems, contributing to improved financial governance for clients.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates applying for this role must meet the following requirements:

National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)

BAcc or similar relevant qualification

Completed SAICA Articles

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar audit role

Strong working knowledge of MS Office

Proven experience with Caseware Working Papers

Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport

Ability to work effectively in a team and perform under pressure
