Position Overview

Nurture Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join its Nurture Newlands rehabilitation facility in Cape Town. Reporting directly to the Nursing Manager, this permanent entry-level role plays a critical part in supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

The Care Worker will assist with daily patient care, promote safety and dignity, and work closely with the clinical and interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery, independence, and overall well-being.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily care activities in line with care plans
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times
  • Support patients during their physical rehabilitation process
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive care environment
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality care standards
  • Support patient-centred care practices aligned with Nurture Health values

Minimum Requirements

Essential

  • Care Worker Certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience within a physical rehabilitation or healthcare environment (advantageous)
