Position Overview

Nurture Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the nursing team at its Nurture Newlands physical rehabilitation facility in Cape Town. Reporting to the Nursing Manager, this permanent role is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional passionate about person-centred rehabilitation care.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing services within a high-care rehabilitation environment, ensuring patient safety, dignity, and excellent clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional nursing care in line with SANC scope of practice
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to clinical changes
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive nursing documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and risk management procedures
  • Promote patient comfort, dignity, and holistic well-being
  • Support patients and families throughout the rehabilitation journey
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Minimum Requirements

Essential

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • Relevant Registered Nurse qualification
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
  • 3 years or more experience as a Registered Nurse in a high-care environment
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Advantageous

  • Previous experience in physical rehabilitation nursing

  • Fluency in English (spoken, written, and reading)
