Position Overview

The Reach Truck Driver role is a contract position within a busy warehouse and logistics environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of a reach truck, efficient material handling, and accurate stock movement within the warehouse.

This role is ideal for a certified reach truck operator with strong attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork, looking to grow within the logistics and supply chain sector.

Key Responsibilities

The successful Reach Truck Driver will be responsible for:

  • Operating a reach truck to safely load, unload, and transport materials
  • Conducting daily inspections of the reach truck before operation
  • Reporting mechanical faults or maintenance issues promptly
  • Accurately storing, retrieving, and moving stock within the warehouse
  • Assisting with inventory control and stock accuracy
  • Adhering strictly to workplace health and safety regulations
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and warehouse team members

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Valid Reach Truck Operator Certification
  • Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items when required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational setting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures
