Position Overview

The Apprentice Level One role at Motus Toyota Nelspruit offers aspiring motor mechanic technicians a structured training programme to gain hands-on experience in vehicle repairs and service operations. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work under guidance while developing practical automotive skills over a maximum of three years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians with vehicle repairs and servicing
  • Remove, replace, and fit vehicle parts and units
  • Jack up vehicles and secure on trestles safely
  • Lubricate engines and perform oil changes under supervision as per manual specifications
  • Remove and replace wheels, batteries, and filters (air and oil)
  • Assist in all aspects of vehicle repair under guidance
  • Perform cleaning and housekeeping in the workshop
  • Attend prescribed technical / level training courses
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good order
  • Follow all safety rules and protocols
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required by the Service Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science
  • Clear criminal record
  • Good customer orientation and teamwork skills
  • Technical aptitude or interest in automotive repair
  • Valid driver’s license (advantageous but not essential)
