Position Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a Pr.Eng Senior Structural Engineer to join a reputable consulting engineering firm’s Structures Department in Pretoria. This role is suited to an experienced structural engineer with strong design capability and consulting exposure across multiple building types.

The successful candidate will play a key role in structural analysis, detailed design, and project execution while working within a multidisciplinary consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and infrastructure projects
  • Design reinforced concrete, structural steel, and timber structures
  • Prepare and review detailed structural drawings and specifications
  • Deliver projects in accordance with engineering standards and deadlines
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices
  • Provide technical input and support within the structures department
  • Assist with project coordination and technical problem-solving

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • BEng or BSc Eng in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professionally registered as Pr.Eng with Engineering Council of South Africa
  • Proven experience in structural consulting engineering
  • Strong structural design skills in concrete, steel, and timber
  • Proficiency in Revit and Prokon
  • Exposure to various building types and structural systems
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Own reliable transport

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Approximate salary: R850,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)
