About the Role
As a Waitron for the newly opened Pedros Belgravia store, you will play a key role in building a vibrant dine-in atmosphere and strong store culture from day one. You will deliver attentive, friendly service to every customer while ensuring efficient coordination between the front counter, cashiers, and kitchen team.
Your objective is to drive customer satisfaction, maintain pristine dining room standards, handle customer inquiries professionally, and ensure smooth meal execution during busy operational shifts.
Key Performance Areas & Primary Responsibilities
1. Customer Greeting & Table Service

Professionally greet arriving guests and seat them promptly in the dining area.

Present food and drink menus, answer questions regarding menu items, and explain daily promotional specials.

Take detailed, accurate food and beverage orders and communicate special dietary or preparation requirements to the kitchen.

Serve freshly prepared meals and drinks to tables promptly and efficiently.
2. Dining Room Care & Floor Maintenance

Check in with guests during their meal to ensure complete satisfaction with quality and service.

Clear used tableware and reset dining tables quickly to maintain efficient seating turnover during peak hours.

Keep the main dining area, service stations, and table setups clean, organized, and hygienic at all times.
3. Payments & Cross-Team Coordination

Process customer payments at the table or coordinate with cashiers accurately when required.

Handle minor customer concerns or service delays with emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and professional conflict-handling skills.

Collaborate closely with kitchen staff, counter teams, and shift managers to ensure uninterrupted order flow.
Minimum Requirements – Waitron (Belgravia)
Educational Qualifications & Experience

Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (Preferred).

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant table service, or customer care is preferred.

Ability and willingness to work flexible retail shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
