Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled High School Educator specializing in Computer Applications Technology (CAT). The role focuses on delivering engaging, technology-integrated lessons, fostering critical thinking, and supporting students’ holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Delivery

  • Implement the Trinityhouse curriculum using differentiated and future-focused teaching methods
  • Integrate technology and AI to deliver personalized, data-informed instruction
  • Embed RDI (Research, Design, Innovation) and Global Competencies into learning

Assessment & Reporting

  • Conduct formative and summative assessments
  • Maintain accurate student records
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents
  • Participate in moderation and quality assurance aligned with Trinityhouse standards

Student Behaviour Management

  • Promote the school’s values and mentor students
  • Address barriers to learning and ensure support mechanisms are activated

School Brand Ambassadorship

  • Model professionalism and the Trinityhouse ethos
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular programs, and community initiatives

Administration & Co-Curricular Support

  • Assist with logistical tasks and ensure compliance with school policies
  • Support co-curricular activities and holistic student development

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) with PGCE/HDE or B.Ed specializing in Computer Applications Technology
  • Valid SACE registration and police clearance
  • 5–10 years teaching experience in the relevant subject
  • Familiarity with CAPS curriculum and inquiry-based learning; IEB experience is advantageous
  • First Aid certification is desirable

Preferred:

  • Honours degree or subject specialisation
  • Experience with digital literacy tools, AI integration, and global competencies
