Position Overview

The Postpaid Manager: Gauteng North/NW will serve as the primary link between Cell C and its trade partners, distributors, and retail channels across the region. This role focuses on driving the operational execution of the postpaid business strategy, identifying market opportunities, and implementing growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in growing Cell C’s customer base, increasing market share, and improving customer experience through strategic sales management and regional performance oversight.


Key Responsibilities

Postpaid Performance Management

  • Analyse revenue performance, market share, and channel effectiveness within the region
  • Monitor and report on customer base growth and retention strategies
  • Conduct market opportunity analysis to identify areas for expansion
  • Develop and implement Go-To-Market strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Track sales performance against targets and seasonal trends
  • Collaborate with product managers to strengthen the postpaid product portfolio
  • Work with business performance teams to analyse market trends and customer insights
  • Provide competitor analysis and strategic insights to senior stakeholders

Regional Sales & Channel Management

  • Maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and trade partners
  • Implement marketing activities including trade marketing and segment campaigns
  • Ensure adherence to Cell C store standards including branding, stock availability, and merchandising
  • Support retail partners with product launches and administrative escalations
  • Drive acquisition and retention initiatives to improve the regional customer experience

Cost and Budget Management

  • Prepare and manage the annual regional postpaid budget
  • Monitor expenditure and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Analyse cost performance and recommend corrective actions where required
  • Provide recommendations for budget adjustments and strategic investments

Staff Management and Development

  • Lead and mentor regional sales teams
  • Set departmental KPIs and performance targets
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide development opportunities
  • Manage recruitment, training, and staff retention strategies
  • Ensure compliance with Cell C HR policies and health & safety regulations

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or Commerce

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in telecommunications or a related technical sector
  • At least 3 years’ experience in marketing or product management
  • Minimum 2 years’ managerial experience leading a team
