Position Overview
The Site Lead is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the daily operations of the assigned Kimberly-Clarke portfolio. This role ensures optimal service delivery across facilities, manages contractors and third-party services, enforces health and safety compliance, and drives cost-effective operational strategies. The Site Lead also serves as the key interface between the client, regional FM representatives, and internal operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Operations Management
- Implement superior facility management principles, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards
- Oversee routine operations, corrective and preventative maintenance, and service delivery across the portfolio
- Monitor and audit contractor performance, ensuring quality, compliance, and SLA adherence
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and process innovations
Contract & SLA Compliance
- Review and understand the Kimberly-Clarke contract, FM output specifications, and SLA requirements
- Track contractor performance and address non-compliances promptly
- Maintain documentation and reports for audit, SLA compliance, and client satisfaction
Technical & Soft Services Oversight
- Ensure PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance tasks are carried out as scheduled
- Conduct performance audits for both technical services and soft services
- Guarantee quality standards for maintenance and service delivery
Staff & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and supervise site and contractor staff to meet operational objectives
- Manage site labor relations and resolve personnel issues according to policies and statutory requirements
- Conduct regular meetings with site staff and management to improve service delivery
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop proactive relationships with clients, regional FM representatives, and EHS managers
- Serve as a trusted business partner in operational decision-making and strategic planning
- Respond effectively to client queries and operational issues
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Conduct or review inspections of health and safety activities
- Take operational action on health, safety, and environmental issues
Reporting
- Prepare, review, and validate monthly reports, including ABP, backlog, incident, and progress reports
- Ensure reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-matric qualification in mechanical, electrical, or building management preferred
- Additional maintenance and property management training is an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in facilities or site management
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities
- Proficient in operational planning, project management, and contractor oversight
- Knowledge of facility management procedures, budgeting, service contracts, and commercial law
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities
