About the Supervisor: Foreman Role
The Foreman at Jetour Paarden Eiland will be responsible for managing the day-to-day workshop and service department operations while ensuring repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and according to dealership and manufacturer standards.
This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities and requires someone who can mentor technicians, maintain service quality, and ensure operational efficiency within a fast-paced dealership workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop & Service Operations
- Oversee daily workshop and service department activities
- Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and accurately
- Monitor repair order progress throughout the day
- Ensure high-quality repairs and minimize repeat work
- Conduct quality checks and road tests on completed vehicles
- Ensure workshop cleanliness and safety standards are maintained
Team Leadership & Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and motivate service technicians
- Assist technicians in developing technical skills
- Conduct technician performance reviews
- Promote teamwork and positive workshop culture
- Monitor technician productivity and payroll records
- Support staff with technical guidance when required
Technical Support & Quality Control
- Provide advanced technical assistance to technicians
- Ensure repairs are charged correctly
- Conduct spot checks for repair quality and thoroughness
- Maintain compliance with manufacturer warranty procedures
- Ensure accurate processing of workshop documentation
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with OHSA regulations and workshop policies
- Oversee hazardous waste disposal procedures
- Ensure manufacturer training requirements are completed
- Maintain safe workshop practices and equipment standards
- Manage inventory and care of special workshop tools
Customer Service & Reporting
- Maintain customer follow-up programs
- Handle customer complaints professionally
- Escalate unresolved issues where necessary
- Monitor department performance using productivity and warranty reports
- Attend dealership management meetings when required
Minimum Requirements
Candidates interested in this automotive workshop management role should meet the following requirements:
- Qualified Automotive Technician
- Workshop Foreman experience required
- Jetour experience advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a service technician
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong vehicle diagnostics and repair knowledge
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
