Position Overview

The HR Administrator – Talent role is a full-time fixed-term opportunity within IDM’s People Team. This position focuses on recruitment administration, interview coordination, applicant tracking system (ATS) management, and onboarding support for both internal and external vacancies.

This role is ideal for an early-career HR or Talent Acquisition professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing corporate environment.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing recruitment administration through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Requesting and tracking candidate documentation
  • Updating candidate statuses and maintaining accurate recruitment records
  • Scheduling interviews and open days with candidates and hiring managers
  • Communicating application updates and responding to candidate queries
  • Capturing interview feedback and supporting hiring decisions
  • Coordinating background and reference checks in line with policy
  • Assisting with the onboarding process, including documentation and orientation schedules
  • Sending new-joiner communication and information packs
  • Creating and managing job advertisements on the ATS when required
  • Ensuring compliance with recruitment and labour legislation standards

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • National Diploma or equivalent in Human Resources or Organisational Psychology
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in Recruitment or Talent Acquisition
  • Basic knowledge of South African Labour Law and relevant legislation
  • Recruitment system / ATS experience – advantageous
  • Experience coordinating interviews, meetings, and recruitment processes
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, including report compilation
