Pedros is hiring a detail-oriented Accountant to join its head office finance team in Newlands East. This role focuses on financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all accounting outputs within the organisation.

The Finance department plays a key role in supporting business decisions through accurate reporting, financial planning, and performance analysis across all branches.
About the Accountant Role
The Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and meaningful business insights.
You will work closely with senior managers and operational teams to translate financial data into actionable business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review financial reports before submission
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial data
- Analyse financial performance and identify trends or deviations
- Provide insights linking financial data to business operations
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Monitor operating capital and financial performance
- Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency
- Contribute to strategic financial decision-making
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with non-finance departments
- Build strong relationships with senior managers
- Provide financial guidance and operational support
- Communicate financial insights clearly to business teams
Accounting & System Management
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Use accounting systems such as MS365 and Sage 200 (or similar)
- Support compliance with internal financial controls
- Ensure reporting deadlines are met consistently
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong understanding of financial and operational data
- Experience with MS365 and accounting systems (Sage 200 advantageous)
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
