About the Role
Mahindra Paarl opens its doors on 1 October 2026 — and the Vehicle Stock Controller will be there from the very beginning. As the stock controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and control of the dealership’s entire vehicle stock, working closely with Sales, Management, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure that vehicles are accurately received, captured, tracked, and released throughout the stock process. You will conduct regular reconciliations and physical stock checks, investigate and resolve discrepancies, coordinate with logistics providers, and assist with stock reporting to management.
This is not a role being filled at an established dealership — it is an opportunity to contribute to building the stock control processes and infrastructure of a new Mahindra dealership from scratch. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on structure, takes ownership of detail, and is energised by the opportunity to help establish efficient systems in a fast-paced automotive environment.
📢 Applications are welcomed from all suitably qualified individuals in accordance with the Employment Equity Act. Motus Corporation is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.

Core Values We Look For in a Vehicle Stock Controller
✅ Detail Orientation & Stock Accuracy
Every vehicle on the lot must be correctly captured, tracked, and accounted for. A single discrepancy in stock records can affect a sales deal, a finance transaction, or a regulatory submission. We value stock controllers who approach every capture, reconciliation, and stock check with genuine precision — understanding that accuracy in this role is not a preference but a professional obligation.
✅ Proactive Problem-Solving & Discrepancy Resolution
Stock discrepancies, delayed deliveries, and documentation gaps will arise — especially in the early days of a new dealership. We value controllers who identify problems early, investigate thoroughly, and resolve discrepancies decisively rather than leaving them to compound. The ability to spot what is wrong and fix it promptly keeps the dealership’s stock operations reliable and auditable.
✅ Organisational Discipline & Process Ownership
Managing vehicle files, coordinating transfers, tracking registrations, and maintaining up-to-date records across a live vehicle stock environment demands exceptional organisational discipline. We value controllers who create and maintain structure consistently — building processes that the whole dealership can rely on, especially during the critical early months of a new operation.
✅ Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
Vehicle stock touches every department — Sales needs availability, Finance needs documentation, Management needs reporting, and Logistics needs coordination. We value controllers who communicate clearly across all these functions, respond to queries promptly, and build productive working relationships that keep the entire dealership moving efficiently.
✅ Pioneering Spirit & New Dealership Energy
Joining a brand-new dealership is not the same as stepping into an established operation. Systems are still being built, processes are still being refined, and the team is still finding its rhythm. We value candidates who are energised by that challenge — who take ownership of their function from day one, contribute ideas, and embrace the opportunity to help shape something new rather than simply maintaining what already exists.
Career Growth Opportunities in Automotive Dealership & Inventory Management
Joining Mahindra Paarl from the ground floor as Vehicle Stock Controller is a strong foundation for a long-term career in automotive retail operations. For motivated individuals, progression is clear:
- Vehicle Stock Controller → Senior Stock Controller / Fleet Administrator
- Senior Stock Controller → Dealership Administrator / Operations Supervisor
- Operations Supervisor → Business Manager / Dealership Operations Manager
- Dealership Operations Manager → Dealer Principal
Your career path is in your hands.
