Role Overview
Cape Union Mart is seeking an Assistant Leader for their Old Khaki store at Mountain Mill. In this role, you will assist in managing all aspects of the store’s operations, driving turnover and profit, and leading the team to ensure exceptional customer service and a positive in-store experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all store operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities.
- Maximize turnover and profit through strategic planning and sales efforts.
- Monitor stock to minimize shrinkage and identify stock-related risks.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and implement customer experience strategies.
- Lead talent selection, training, coaching, and retention initiatives for the team.
- Innovate visual merchandising strategies to optimize sales.
- Implement all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain health and safety practices within the store.

Required Skills and Experience
- Experience: 3 years of retail management experience.
- Education: Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
