Werkie is recruiting a highly driven and performance-focused Field Sales Representative on behalf of a well-established South African waterproofing products company. This permanent opportunity is based in Pretoria, Gauteng, with daily travel across designated areas in the Gauteng region.

About the Role
The Field Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business and growing existing accounts through structured territory planning, cold calling, on-site visits, and product demonstrations.
For the initial months, the role will be office-based in Pretoria while the successful candidate builds a client base. Once established, the role will transition into greater field-based independence, allowing the representative to manage and grow their assigned territory.
This is a high-activity, results-driven sales role with strong earning potential for consistent performers.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development and Prospecting
The successful candidate will generate new business through cold calling, networking, and structured territory planning, focusing on consistent pipeline growth and opportunity conversion.
Daily Sales Activity Targets
The role requires a disciplined sales routine, including:

5 store visits per day
-
2 follow-up calls or visits per day
-
2 new store visits per day
Client Engagement and Product Demonstrations
Responsibilities include conducting on-site product demonstrations, consultations, and technical discussions with clients, ensuring solutions are aligned with customer needs.
Relationship Building and Account Management
The Field Sales Representative will build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business, loyalty, and consistent sales growth.
Sales Performance and Reporting
The role requires meeting and exceeding sales targets, attending weekly sales meetings, and submitting accurate activity and performance reports.
Brand Representation
The successful candidate will represent the company at trade shows, expos, and industry events, reinforcing brand presence and generating new leads.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates applying for this role must meet the following requirements:

Matric (Grade 12)

Minimum 2 years’ strong, proven sales experience

Proven ability in cold calling, prospecting, and closing deals
